FCA Quickly Growing at West

Staff Writer and FCA Leader Carter Hahn invites you to join this quickly growing organization

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, or FCA, has recently been started at West with the help of teachers like Coach Cox, Coach Heasley, Ms. Landon, and Mrs. O’Connell, and with student leaders like myself, Grant Wells, Robby Irgang, Ashley Etherton, Allison Lyon, and Gavin Davis. Although the title includes the word “Athlete,” it is not closed off to those who do not play sports. Everyone is welcome to come on Friday mornings at 8:15 in the auditorium. It is a great way to get connected with people that have the same interests as you, or to just come and see what following Christ is all about. We have guest speakers come in and give their testimonies from time to time, and although there is help with setting some of the stuff up from teachers, it is purely student led.

FCA was off to a sprint until 2 weeks in a row, we had snow days on a Friday and couldn’t hold the meetings. But now that we’re back on track and hopefully winter is behind us, we can start to see the same, if not more, numbers that we had before the snow days. We would love to see all of you come and fill up the auditorium on Fridays, and if you have any questions about it, go talk to any of the people I named above. Come out to FCA and you won’t regret it!
