North Korea: Real Risk, or False Fear?

Carter Hahn

Lately there has been a lot of fear and hype surrounding the nation of North Korea and the nuclear threat that they impose. North Korea, the most isolated country in the world, has been threatening to send out nuclear weaponry to destroy enemy nations including the U.S. All-in-all, it is a very tense subject, and there are many opinions on what our nation should do about the imminent threat. So what are the student’s opinions on the subject? Let’s see…

When asked what he thought on the subject of the hostile nuclear nation, a senior proclaimed, “I think that they just do it for attention, and that they don’t have the guts to actually start a nuclear war. If they did, we would take care of it, ‘merica.”

While a junior had a different take on the subject, “I think it’s scary that we may go to war with them because my uncle just got into the army, and I would be afraid of him dying.”

There are many different opinions on the subject of the nuclear hostility, but all opinions seem to have the country’s people in mind.
