Carson's Poetry Corner: 8th

Carson Ball

Curiosity killed the cat. So why be curious?

Because curiosity is what lead the West Jessamine students to be glorious.

Without curiosity, no questions are asked.

Without questions asked, no knowledge is grasped.

Without knowledge grasped, the test scores portray

What students have been doing in school until May.

I guess it’s a good thing that’s not the West Way.

The West Way is students who don’t settle for “good” nor “great.”

The West Way is a dynasty ranked eighth in the state.

Teachers helping teachers; Students helping peers.

All of this hard work has paid off through the years.

Top ten in the state, there’s still room to improve

Watch out for us next year, we’ll be on the move.
